Unplanned outages
Rehabilitation of aging gravity pipe networks across four countries, including assets dating back to the 1760s. Delivered to full compliance with minimal service disruption.
What needed solving
Aging gravity pipe networks across four countries had reached the end of their serviceable life — some dating back to the 1760s. The infrastructure suffered from structural degradation, infiltration, and increasing maintenance burden. Replacement would have meant extensive excavation, significant service disruption to communities, and ballooning capital expenditure.
How we solved it
JTECH deployed trenchless rehabilitation methodologies including CCTV condition assessment, pipe lining, and joint sealing across all four jurisdictions. Works were sequenced around live service constraints to eliminate outages. Detailed asset data collected during assessment fed directly into maintenance planning for the client, extending the value of the engagement well beyond construction completion.
What we delivered
Full structural and hydraulic compliance restored across all network assets. Service continuity was maintained throughout — zero unplanned outages. The trenchless approach reduced programme time and community disruption compared to open-cut alternatives, delivering the rehabilitation at significantly lower cost than pipe replacement.
